@ferretfyre Yes exactly. And they have read the refugee accounts & news reports hinting at the horrors… they dismissed them, went to🇰🇭 & still didn’t ask themselves, might these reports be true?; is what I am shown propaganda? At least the kids with AK-47s should have made them pause. @RNbkk @CEtcheson Especially from you @RNbkk, as your book “The Fall of Phnom Penh” was what got me interested in the KR in the first place. That said I hope to launch a website soon, where all material is posted with more context as well as all sources. @RNbkk @CEtcheson Providing context is somtimes difficult in the “day-by day” format, so in isolation some posts can seem strange. However, a general disclaimer that the KR did awful things under each post is probably anoying for regular readers. But I am happy to hear suggestions 🙂 .. While air raid shelters are built and the army received standing orders to retaliate…

Citing western analysts, @AP reports that China installed radar-controlled anti-aircraft guns in PhnomPenh and supplied 130-millimeter long-range howitzers and T-59 & T-60 tanks to Cambodia. Chinese technicians also train the Khmer Rouge airforce and navy.

James William Clark and Lance McNamara aboard the yacht Mary K are captured by the Khmer Rouge 32 kilometres off Poulo Wai Island and brought to S-21. They wanted to smuggle Marihuana from Thailand back to the United States. The Cambodia Tribunal in Oslo concludes 3 days of hearing on the human rights situation in Cambodia with testimonies by refugees & scholars. The Tribunal, organized by MPs from all🇳🇴 parties, wants to send the resulting documents to the UN Human Rights Commission.
