At a meeting of 2,000 cadres in PhnomPenh, with the Chinese ambassador also present, Khmer Rouge Prime Minister Pol Pot pays tribute to Mao Zedong (who died on 9 September), “the foremost leader after Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Stalin”.
