Khmer Rouge Defence Minister SON Sen says internal enemies are off no worry, because they had been “smashed”. Those who used to be with the Vietnamese should be “split up and sent to be carpenters and the like, interspersed with forces belonging to us whose stance is solid”.

The local-level talks between the Thai and Cambodian border committees scheduled to defuse the tense situation at the Trat border was postponed by the Khmer Rouge to next week for unknown reasons.
