“The prospects of a sustained guerrilla war within Cambodia are uncertain. Hatred of the Khmer Rouge will weigh against hatred of the Vietnamese. Much may depend on China. Thailand will remain cautious & maintain a healthy respect of Vietnam”, says US amb. to🇹🇭.

As Vietnamese forces advance towards the border town of Poipet, & having taken Pursat yesterday, Thai Foreign Minister Upadit says “Thailand will accept wounded Khmer Rouge soldiers on humanitarian grounds.”
