4. Said to be the head of the plot to overthrow POL Pot, Oeun, Commander of Division 310, was brought to S-21. In his confession, Oeun regretted not having been given advance knowledge of his arrest in order to prove his loyalty and concluded that “it is now too late”.

3. Doeun, Khmer Rouge Commerce minister was brought to S-21, because his predecessor KOY Thuon had implicated him in his confessions. When Koy had first run into trouble last year, Doeun advised a friend to “act as if you have never known him.”
