Cambodians in the refugee camp in Khlong Yai, Thailand, easily find work as fishermen. But as Khmer Rouge patrol boats increase their activities against Thai fishing vessels, they fear being captured, as that “would mean certain death”, reports @nytimes.

Celebrating its 3rd anniversary, Vietnam says its relations with Cambodia were deteriorating, with the border remaining tense. Politburo member Ngyen Van Linh accuses the Khmer Rouge of deliberately provoking the border conflict.
